Thursday Night or so:
Hamlet (middle), Brian (Left), and I (right) are walking to the train
station from the bar. About 20 seconds after this picture was taken, I
realized that I left my bag in the bar. I ran back to the bar to get the
bag, I ran because we had only a few minutes to make the last train to
Brian's house. The bag was fine and we made it to the train station in
plenty of time.
Megan was kind enough to let me crash at her place for a couple of nights.
Megan's Place.
Copenhagen (Kobinhaven, pronounced koob-in-houn) seemed to be quite fond of
copper-Copper domes, copper towers, copper fountains. This was my favorite fountain in Copenhagen. Three (although in this picture you can only see 2) sea birds taking flight (2 gold stars for anyone who can identify the species of bird form the photograph). The photograph was taken at night, on
the way home from a Mexican/Italian dinner with Megan, Ector, and another
Architecture student from Virginia (I think).

Perfect timing...Without our knowing, Brian; the photography whiz;, snapped
this great picture of Ector and I saying good-bye the night before my plane
left Copenhagen.

I got lost in this part of Copenhagen, Nyhaven (Pronounced "New-houn,"
meaning new harbor, though it is not so new by our standards). There are
stories of this being a favorite hangout for rowdy sailors of the 18 &19th
centuries. There area is still populated with bars and "Gentleman's Clubs."

Copenhagen's "Little Mermaid" statue and a sailing ship. "The Little
Mermaid" ("La Serenetta", in Italian) was written by Hans Christian
Andersen, a native of Copenhagen (I think he was a native, if he was not,
they at least take credit for him). I think Mr. Andersen is Copenhagen's
only contribution to the humanities- Copenhagen is big on commerce. Copenhagen
remember Kobenhyven, means "merchant's harbor" in Danish.
